Some lyrics to focus on when you feel down.

Another post about lyrics. Because sometimes songs have those words that you need to hear when you feel down. Words of wisdom, words of comfort, inspiring/ motivational words.

So when you feel down and you don’t know what to do to get out of the slump

check out these songs or focus on these lyrics. I hope they make you feel better.

  • Sisters of Mercy by Leonard Cohen

“When I thought that I just can’t go on
And they brought me their comfort
And later they brought me this song…..”

“If your life is a leaf
That the seasons tear off and condemn
They will bind you with love
That is graceful and green as a stem…”

  • Fix You by Coldplay

“Lights will guide you home
And ignite your bones
And I will try to fix you.”

  • Thistle and Weeds by Mumford and Sons

“But plant your hope with good seeds
Don’t cover yourself with thistle and weeds
Rain down, rain down on me.”

  • Various Storms and Saints by Florence + The Machine

“The monument of a memory
You tear it down in your head
Don’t make the mountain your enemy
Get out, get up there instead……”

“You’ll find a rooftop to sing from
Or find a hallway to dance
You don’t need no edge to cling from
Your heart is there, it’s in your hands
I know it seems like forever
I know it seems like an age
But one day this will be over
I swear it’s not so far away….”

  • Here Comes the Sun by The Beatles

“Little darling, I feel that ice is slowly melting
Little darling, it seems like years since it’s been clear

Here comes the sun.”

  • Hallelujah by Leonard Cohen

“There’s a blaze of light in every word
It doesn’t matter which you heard
The holy or the broken Hallelujah.”

I hope these words make you feel motivated and know that whatever you’re going through right now. Whichever blues you’re stuck in. YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

Have a nice day. 😀
